SPRIING Social Prescribing Reducing Isolation In Gedling
Helping you to become more involved and socially active in your community
We are working with Gedling Homes to offer SPRIING. A new project to help overcome loneliness and isolation in our community.
What does it involve? This is a community project in Gedling Borough to help people find social activities to reduce their isolation.
Who can refer people? Any frontline professional, like a GP, social worker or care worker, can refer people, as can friends and family members. People can also refer themselves using this online form
What happens next? With your permission, we will then search for relevant activities and groups and talk through the various options with you. We can then put you in touch with a community navigator who will support you along the way.
To find out more about what activities are available and how you can get involved call 0115 901 3697 or 0115 905 1519.
SPRIING Grass Roots Growth Fund for community groups
The aim of the grant is to enhance and strengthen community groups to enable them to be more accessible to people with mild or long term mental health problems, vulnerable adults, older people and those who frequently attend either primary or secondary healthcare. Grants of up to £250 can be applied for.
