Are the centres still open?

  • From close of business 20/03/20 all of our Leisure Centres, The Richard Herrod Centre and The Bonington Theatre will be closed for the foreseeable future.

When will the centres reopen?

  • We will be reopening the centres when it is appropriate and safe to do so, for now we do not have a specific date and we will keep you updated on our website and social media.

What will happen regarding my monthly DNA membership direct debit payments?

  • We will not be collecting any further payments during this period of closure and we will suspend your membership for free. When we are in a position to re-open, we will inform you with an update on how your repayments will start.

I already paid for my membership on the 5th of March, will I receive a refund due to the closure?

  • For the two weeks initial closure period in March (20th March to the 5th April) for those who made a payment on the 5th of March. You will be credited back these lost days at a future date. No more payments after this period will be taken from your account. When we are in a position to re-open, we will inform you on how the payments will re-start.

I pay for my DNA membership annually, what will happen to my payments?

  • We will credit your account with the time you have been unable to access the sites as soon as we know the date the leisure centres will re-open.

Can I freeze my DNA membership?

  • All DNA memberships will be suspended for free with immediate effect. We will inform you with an update on how your repayments will start when we know the date the leisure centres will re-open.

I have already cancelled my direct debit instruction for my DNA membership at the bank, what should I do?

  • If you have already cancelled your direct debit instruction at the bank, you will need to come into the leisure centres and complete a new membership agreement form when we re-open, as we won’t be able to re-start your direct debit payment without your authorisation.

What will happen with my Monthly Junior Swim Stars direct debit payments?

  • During the period of closure we will suspend your membership and we will not collect any funds from your account. When we are in a position to re-open, we will provide an update on how your payments will re-start

If my membership is suspended, will my child keep their place on the swim lesson scheme?

  • Yes, your child will retain their place on the swim lesson scheme providing you do not cancel your direct debit instruction at your bank whilst we are closed.

I have already cancelled my direct debit instruction for Junior Swim Stars lessons at the bank, what should I do?

  • If you have already cancelled your direct debit instruction at the bank and you wish to resume lessons once we re-open, you will need to come into the leisure centres and complete a new membership agreement form as we won’t be able to re-start your direct debit payment without your authorisation. At this point you will then be allocated a lesson on the programme

I pay for the Junior Swim Stars scheme upfront in a block payment, what happens to my credits?

  • Your credits will be suspended from close of business on Friday 20th March and your child will retain their place on the swim lesson scheme. When we’re in a position to re-open we will be in touch.

I’ve booked my Child’s birthday party at one of the centres, what do I do?

  • If you’ve booked a party at one of our Leisure Centres during the closure period please call the Leisure Centre directly and you will be given a refund. Leisure Facilities can be contacted by telephone Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

I’ve hired out a space in the Leisure Centre/Richard Herrod Centre, what do I do?

  • If you’ve hired out the space, please call the relevant centre directly and you will be given a full refund unless the booking can be rescheduled at a later date. Leisure Facilities and Richard Herrod Centre can be contacted by telephone Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

If I’ve already paid to use the Sports Facilities during the closure period, will I get a refund?

  • Yes, if your booked session is during the closure period you will get a full refund for the session. Leisure Facilities can be contacted by telephone Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

I have a block booking, what happens now?

  • Bookings will be charged up until the Leisure Centre closure date if payments are made in arrears. Pre-payments will be held unless refunds are requested.

Where can I find updates about the Leisure Centres?

  • During this closure period we will be regularly updating our website and social media.
