Get In, Go Far with Apprenticeships
Date and time
Jun 27, 2018
8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
This FREE event will appeal to small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), public bodies, schools and apprenticeship providers based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire that have an interest in apprenticeships and the benefits they can bring to business and wider society.
The event has an international flavour with presenters from Germany and Canada talking about their apprenticeship systems and how they work with employers. We will review the latest information on Apprenticeship Policy in England 12 months on from the apprenticeship reforms implemented on 1 May 2017 and listen to what is next for SMEs and apprenticeships to help innovate by attracting new skills and future leaders to their workforce.
As part of the agenda you will learn about a business support programme funded by Erasmus+ that has been delivered in Bulgaria, Poland and the UK to help remove barriers to SMEs recruiting into apprenticeships. You will hear directly from employers that have engaged with the programme on their experiences of apprenticeships and the benefits they have brought to their business.
We also want to hear from you on what is required for apprenticeships to work within your business.
There will be a skills market place enabling you to speak directly with providers who can support your recruitment and training needs to future proof the skills in your business and increase productivity. In addition the event offers a great networking opportunity to meet other businesses.
The confirmed agenda will be made available in due course.
