European Union Elections

On Wednesday 10 April 2019 European Union leaders granted the UK a six-month extension to Brexit.  This means that it is likely that the UK must now hold European elections on Thursday 23 May 2019.

Voters in Gedling will be electing Members of the European parliament for the East Midlands Region.

Information on voting in the EU elections for EU citizens not from the UK, ROI, Cyprus and Malta who are resident in the UK.

If you are a European Union citizen, other than UK, Republic of Ireland, Cyprus and Malta and are resident in the UK, to vote in the forthcoming European Parliamentary Elections on Thursday 23 May 2019 here in the UK you are required to apply to do so on a separate form. Forms have been sent out to all eligible electors in the Borough.

This form must be received by the electoral registration officer by Tuesday 7 May 2019 to be effective for the elections on 23 May
